Budget 2026 – Talk in Udgam

Back in Udgam, my alma mater. This time not as a student, but as a jury member for a Budget Talk simulation.

The format was thoughtfully designed. Five teams stepped into the role of the Finance Minister and presented their budget priorities across sectors. Counter teams challenged them on feasibility, trade-offs, and fiscal logic.

As jury, my role was to probe the proposals, question assumptions and outcomes, and offer counter perspectives.

What stood out was not just the articulation and confidence of the students, but their willingness to think in terms of priorities, constraints, and consequences.

Returning to the same institution where my journey began, and seeing young minds engage with public finance in such a structured manner, was deeply meaningful.
